Information we collect

Website. When you sign up for early access, join the beta waitlist, or contact us through this site, we collect the information you provide — typically your name, email address, sport, and the contents of any message you send.

App — free features. Core rotation-planning features work without an account. Team and player names you enter to build rosters and lineups are stored locally on your device.

App — Pro plan. If you subscribe to Swapr Pro, your rosters and any player photos you add are synced to secure cloud storage (Google Firebase) so they stay backed up and available across your devices. This data is used solely to provide that cloud sync and to assist you if you contact support — never for advertising, profiling, or any other purpose.

Purchases.Swapr Pro is sold as an in-app purchase through Apple's App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment card details. We may receive limited transaction information (such as purchase status) from Apple to activate and manage your subscription.

Automatically collected information. Our website uses Google reCAPTCHA to prevent spam and abuse, which may process technical data such as your IP address and browser characteristics under Google's Privacy Policy. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies on this site.

How we use your information

We use the information you provide to:

• Send mailing-list updates, beta information, and other updates you've requested;
• Respond to support requests and resolve customer service issues;
• Provide cloud backup and cross-device sync for Pro subscribers;
• Process and manage in-app purchases and subscriptions;
• Maintain the security and proper operation of our website and app.

If you join our mailing list or sign up for the beta, your name and email are added to our mailing list (via SendPulse) so we can send you those updates. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us.

Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for advertising purposes. We work with a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf, solely to help us operate Swapr:

• Google Firebase — cloud storage for Pro subscribers' rosters and player photos;
• SendPulse — email delivery and mailing list management;
• Google reCAPTCHA — spam and bot protection on our forms;
• Apple App Store — payment processing for in-app purchases.

These providers are only permitted to use your information to perform services for us and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We may also disclose information where required by law, to comply with legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Swapr, our users, or others.

Data retention and security

We retain personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, mailing-list information until you unsubscribe, or Pro account data for as long as your subscription and account are active. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Swapr is intended for use by coaches and other adults, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Player names and photos entered into the app are provided by the coach (an adult user) for team-management purposes as part of the coach's own account, not collected directly from the players or their guardians. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your choices and rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data you've provided to us at any time by contacting us below. Pro subscribers can delete synced rosters and photos directly within the app; deleting your account removes your data from our cloud storage. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what data we hold about you, to request deletion, and to opt out of certain processing. We will honor valid requests consistent with applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as Swapr evolves. We will update the effective date above when changes are made, and material changes will be highlighted on this page or communicated through the app.
